Industrial Infrastructure

Overview
What we deliver
Industrial buildings are judged on clear space, programme and cost certainty. KLY configures pre-engineered steel buildings for warehousing, manufacturing and logistics — clear-span structure, insulated envelope, doors and access, delivered with a complete engineering and quality document pack.
KLY delivers the engineered building system and works alongside your appointed civils, installation, mechanical and electrical contractors. If your requirement spans wider than the building, ask — scope is agreed per project.
Buildings
Industrial Infrastructure buildings
Warehouses
Clear-span storage buildings configured for racking layouts, forklift and HGV access, loading doors and the required floor-to-haunch clearance.
Manufacturing facilities
Production buildings configured around process layouts, service routes and, where required, crane loads and equipment support.
Logistics buildings
Distribution and cross-dock buildings with loading bay arrangements, canopies and door layouts set by the vehicle movement strategy.
Industrial halls
Large clear-span halls for assembly, storage or covered operations, configured for span, height and the internal environment required.
Workshops
Maintenance and workshop buildings with the door sizes, clearances and envelope specification set by the vehicles or plant they serve.
These buildings are examples, not limits — if your requirement isn't listed, send it through and KLY will confirm the route.
Projects
Typical projects
- —Distribution and fulfilment centres
- —Manufacturing plant expansions
- —Cold and ambient storage facilities
- —Vehicle maintenance and fleet workshops
- —Industrial estate development
Documentation
Documentation & traceability
Structural steelwork is manufactured under EN 1090 through qualified production partners, with the execution class set per project and certification held by the production partner. Material certificates, welding and inspection records, coating reports and drawings are compiled into one project document pack for building control and handover.
Delivery
Delivery, managed by KLY
Buildings are delivered in sequenced loads matched to the erection programme, with delivery terms, destination and off-loading requirements defined in the quotation.
Engineering
Engineering support
Every industrial building is engineered before manufacture — design basis, frame design, connection details and the foundation reaction schedules your civils contractor needs, issued with the building. Deliverables and design responsibility are agreed for the project.
Other building configurations can be assessed from your site, building use and equipment requirements.
FAQ
Industrial Infrastructure questions
Standard configurations cover single clear spans from around 8 m to 40 m, with wider buildings achieved using internal columns. Span, eaves height and bay spacing are configured together from the internal layout and the site's design actions.
Yes, where required. Crane rails, gantry loads and the resulting frame sizes are built into the design basis at specification stage, since they materially affect the frame — so the crane requirement should be stated early.
Single-skin or insulated composite panel roof and wall systems, with insulation thickness set by the thermal requirement, plus flashings, gutters and downpipes. Rooflights, ventilation and door types are configured to the building's use.
KLY delivers the engineered building and supplies foundation reactions and setting-out information so those packages can be priced and built, and coordinates delivery to suit the site programme.
